The Pitch is not an original idea - connecting startup companies and people with new business ideas with investors. I'm sure most of us have come across a similar idea on television ... Where The Pitch stands up is that is genuinely about connecting people, not generating needless drama. This makes The Pitch unique and a great idea in that the listeners have the control over these products - it can be our choice to bring new ideas into the marketplace. With guest investors on the show also, this is a great resource for product developers to find out what is important when developing a new product. Creators of The Pitch Josh Muccio and Sheel Mohnot have hit upon a valuable niche in the online radio and podcast market.
  • Not a Great Start

I watched this last week and was grossly disappointed, especially for a one hour show that started at 11p.m. I'd rate this as a "false start" to a much anticipated second season. In almost every way when compared to season one, this first episode fizzled....I mean, it's almost like they don't want it to make it through this or certainly not a third season. I really enjoy this show so I hope AMC gets a pass of this first episode. I hope the up the ante the rest of the way through. I've got my fingers crossed!

This show is gives you an inside look at how advertising agents go about pitching their ideas to potential clients. It gives you a real sense of "being there" as the agency tries to figure out the best strategy for providing clients precisely what they are looking for.
