Description

Unforgettable stars Poppy Montgomery as Carrie Wells, an NYPD detective with a rare ability that makes her memory so flawless that every place, every conversation, every joy and every heartbreak is forever embedded in her mind, ready to be accessed at a moment's notice. Feeling that her ability prevented her from leading a normal life, Carrie withdrew from police work for several years, until she was unexpectedly reunited with her ex-boyfriend and partner, Detective Al Burns. After consulting on a case, Carrie decided that she belonged back on the job and joined Al in the Queens PD. Carrie's memory helped her and Al close a staggering number of murder cases, which catches the eye of Eliot Delson, head of the Major Crimes Section of the NYPD. Carrie and Al agree to leave Queens to join Eliot's team in Manhattan, though Carrie forces him to bring on Joanne Webster, a brilliant medical examiner well-known to Eliot for her acerbic personality. Armed with her unique ability and backed up by the people she trusts the most, Carrie now helps protect the citizens of New York, with each case more memorable than the last.

My wife and I really enjoyed season 1. We watched them all and couldn't wait to get to the next episode. we were bummed when it was cancelled. we were pleased to see it return and haven't been disappointed. We look forward to each episode. I hope it keeps running… they're entertaining stories.
  • cast changes ruined it

I loved the first season but CBS ruined it changing the setting and cast. This is like what happened with Body of Proof in Season 3 and like that series this will be cancelled. At least I hope the show runner has the decency to let Carrie find her sister's killer.
  • They'll be 13 episodes!

This season feels completely different than season 1 and i LIKE IT! Instead of the weightiness of Carrie's backstory with her sister always coming into play, this time they've 'lightened up' the storylines it seems, and made a more accessible, fun (as much as procedurals can be fun) version of the show....and the episodes are stand-alones. You can jump in any time. My fave so far is "Day of the Jackie." Really entertaining story. And contrary to what Wali1111 has heard, I'm told (from 'sources in the know') that they are actually 13 episodes of season 2 in production. Though CBS will air eight before the fall line-up kicks in, then the remaining episodes will air sometime during the winter months! - I guess that means we'll have to wait for them to air before they'll be available on iTunes though. :(

Glad CBS heard the fans and brought this excellent show back! I was kind of disappointed that they got rid of most of the supporting cast from Season 1, but hope this show does well.

I liked season 1 alot and was disappointed when it was cancelled. The late reprieve was appreciated, but I was fearful of the reported changes. I liked the original characters and appreciated the fine acting from season 1 and was worried season 2's reported changes would not play well with me. I was wrong - it's good TV, therefore probably doomed to failure, but I shall watch it as long as it is around . As scripted TV slowly sinks below the waves and we are brainwashed into accepting silliness and melodramatic reality shows as 'The New Normal', it becomes clear all traditional TV watchers can do is hold on to the few remaining shows of value they find fits their fancy. Unforgettable is one of those for me,
