Description

The fifth and final gripping season of "In Plain Sight" will keep viewers on the edge of their seats with heart-pounding storylines all building to an unforgettable finale. Can Mary (Mary McCormack) balance motherhood with a demanding profession or will she put the baby up for adoption? Will Marshall (Frederick Weller) finally admit his feelings for Mary, or can he make his relationship with Abigail (Rachel Boston) work? What will come of Brandi (Nichole Hiltz) and Peter (Josh Malina)? After opening up her heart to only a few men in the past, will Mary ever fall in love again? And the question that has haunted Mary her entire life -- where is the father that abandoned her? "In Plain Sight" stars McCormack as Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshal working in the highly secretive branch of the Witness Protection Program (WITSEC), which relocates federal witnesses, most of whom fall into three categories: career criminals, whistle-blowers or innocents who had the misfortune of witnessing a crime. They all have one thing in common -- someone wants them dead. Mary’s job is to see that doesn’t happen, while at the same time attempting to manage her own dysfunctional family. "In Plain Sight" also stars Weller, Paul Ben Victor and Boston. Lesley Ann Warren and Tangie Ambrose are expected to recur for the final season that will also include an appearance by Nichole Hiltz. Season five will feature the cast and top name guest stars in more exciting and surprising story arcs than ever.

This show is better than the sum of its parts. Everything works well together. I loved all five seasons. Worth watching all five seasons, in order. Liked that the episodes had main plot, Mary as a US Marshall; then the subplot Mary as a Shannon. The family dysfunction brought me... Made it more real. It also helped build Mary's character. Marshall's romance in seasons four and five was a good evolution of his character. It also added some drama to Mary and Marshall's ambiguous and complex relationship. The Brandy character was great. She grew up as the show evolved. She contributed to the underlying philosophical lessons learned of each episode. The Jinx character was also a necessary piece in the puzzle of building the Mary character and understanding the Shannon family. The Stan character, comic relief, umpire, camaraderie. There were also many more great characters throughout the seasons that made this show a great one. It touched my emotions, it made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me ponder life... It think that is the point of a human drama. I loved, I bought it. I recommend that you buy it also, you will not be disappointed.

I loved watching this series and I wish it would go on for more seasons. It was a fabulous cast, and it had ever interesting writing and an intelligent script. All good things must come to an end, but this one ended way too soon.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love In Plain Sight. Mary is such an interesting character. She's strong, she doesn't put up with any crap, and she is the epitome of the underrated, everyday hero also known as "the family caretaker". One of the things I love about this show is how messed up/realistic Mary's family life is like. Mary wouldn't be who she is if it weren't for Marshall. Their partnership is so interesting, and I can honestly say I've never seen any partnership like this anywhere else on television before. But now I'll get to my point. Up until this season, they've kept true to Mary's general experience with her family, her job, and life in general. This season has been interesting for sure with the introduction of some characters, even though one of the characters was kind of expected. But I feel like the series wrapped up too nicely compared to what is typical for the show, and it ended too soon. I feel like there were tons more aspects of Mary's relationships with people, especially Marshall, that should've been explored. Also, I really thought that they'd end the series on a cliffhanger. Mary's life was never neat and resolved, so why should the ending of the show be? If you're a huge fan of In Plain Sight, then I suggest you buy this, but if you haven't ever seen IPS or you've only seen a couple of episodes, I would suggest buying a different season.

My mother and I watched this show from the beginning, except for the last season, because she passed away. We liked how Mary takes care of everyone, something very much a plus for a WITSEC agent. Her sarcastic attitude, Mann (Marshal Mann, which makes hm U.S. Marshal Marshal Mann) being such a fount of useless information, all in all this show is the perfect mix of drama and a little bit of comedy. Since I could no longer watch the show on USA with my mother (don't have cable myself), I purchased and watched the 4th seasonv via iTunes and just bought the Season Pass for this season. All good shows must eventually end, although I know we all wish In Plain Sight could get a few more seasons, 5 seasons is a pretty good run nowadays, with most shows lucky to get a full first season.

In Plain Sight is a great show that combines comedy and crime fighting in an original and entertaining way. This season is full of more twists, turns, and laughs than ever before. A smart and thrilling show!
