Mary McCormack has done an excellent job in all of her acting endeavors but I think her portrayal of Mary Shannon on In Plain Sight tops all of her past successes. While watching you can somehow relate to and understand everything that Mary goes through on the job & in her personal life. The rest of the cast is equally talented & likeable so there is never disappointment as you watch each episode play out.I love this show & highly recommend it to everyone!!!! Also in answer to boom boys question....The song playing at the end of "Don't Cry For Me Albuquerque" Is the first part of a 3 part song by Snow Patrol called The Lightning Strike. It's 16 minutes long and I was able to purchase it here on iTunes.

YOU CAN TELL HOW GOOD A SHOW IS BY HOW CRAZY IT MAKES YOU. SEASON 2 HAS ENDED....... AND I'M GOING OUT OF MY MIND BECAUSE I HAVE TO WAIT GOD KNOWS HOW LONG FOR ANOTHER EPISODE. THIS SHOW IS IS ONE OF THE FINEST WRITTEN ON TV TODAY AND THE CHARACTERS ARE SO WELL DEVELOPED YOU FIND YOURSELF ROOTING NOT JUST FOR THE MAIN CHARACTERS BUT ALSO FOR THE OTHERS INVOLVED IN ALL THE SUBPLOTS. A DEFINITE THUMBS UP

This was a great episode but I am trying to find the song at the end of the show when Mary in lying hooked up to the ventilator and everyone is waiting in the hospital. There are some lyrics about grey hair and lightning and I loved the song and really want to know the artist and the name of the song. does anybody know?

  • Disappointing when compared to Season 1 -- but it's not the actors fault

Somehow the story lines never came together the way they did in season 1. With only one season to judge by, I had the impression that numerous season long story arcs would do their dance and the unit in clever resolution at the end of the season. For example, a ground keeper laying down the foul lines at a baseball stadium. There was not such luck in season two. • After introducing the possibility of Mary's father and half sister near mid season, this story line was dropped never to be heard from again. •The same goes for Mary's now you see it now you don't feud with the FBI -- and the even more intriguing possibility that "Mary's new 1/2 sister" was an FBI plant. •After finding a microphone hidden in the wall -- which remained torn open from mid season on -- this story line also took an express train to the Big Adios. It would have been nice to have those widely disparate plot lines pull together for the type of high-stakes end of season plot peak that was used in season one. This as opposed to the "Who Shot JR" ending you gave us. Note to producers… No one believes that Mary will die and new talent will be brought in for the 3rd season. I would not be the same show. You might as well change the name Speaking of who shot JR If she goes through the entire 3rd season in a ‘dream’, only awakening at the beginning of the 4th season, there might be some interesting possibilities.
  • Drama, Comedy, Action! All in one show. A+++

This is a very well-written, well-acted show. I'm glad I discovered it. I think Mary is stellar and deserves to be nominated for an acting emmy. Lesley Ann Warren and Nichole Hiltz are also very good actresses and you never know whether you'll laugh or cry during an episode and I like the surprises. Love the addition of "Eleanor." I hope Season 3 brings a satisfactory relationship with Marshall. I like Raf but it's apparent to everyone except him it seems that she's really just not that into him.

Hi it seems like a bad move to make the standard definition available later than the HD. Those of us who love the show and are dying to watch it, now have to wait an extra day. Is it a profit motive? Great show, though.

I never was really into the show until I didnt have anything to do, and sat down at watched it. Now I can't stop watching it. The characters are brilliant, and humerous, not to mention that Marshall is HOT!
