Makes sense to me!

Making Sense is a feel-good exploration of the abilities of the human mind, body and spirit, all wrapped up in 80’s sci-fi entertainment. As a school counselor, I would recommend it to any of my students interested in psychology, mindfulness, brain science, disabilities, or the paranormal. And thank you for casting actors with disabilities in leading roles. Well done!

I enjoyed this quirky film about transcending limitations — real or perceived. Speaking of transcendence, hang on tight as the film’s genre tour takes you from drama to science fiction, fantasy, caper, comedy, and back again. You may harbor the same doubts about Dr. Amberger’s sanity as the diverse cast of characters drawn in the help him, but the ending will leave you hoping for the TV series.

This was a fun and thought provoking movie. Kept me engaged and wondering what would happen next. Love the story concept! Also it’s wonderful to see authentic portrayal of characters with disabilities. Well done casting people with disabilities to act those roles.

I was skeptical of the premise of the film at first - bringing five people with disabilities together to discover the 6th sense. But, it was a really fun romp with humor, FBI chase, some family turmoil and a surprise ending. It made our family think about what it means to be disabled.
