Spider-Man is one of the characters with an impressive number of villains in the comics, and is probably second only to Batman. Therefore, Sony has the right to use a number of interesting and well-developed characters from the comics. Sony’s Spider Universe kicked off with ‘Venom’ and was arguably quite successful with a gross of $850 million worldwide and especially in China – proving a success for the Spider-Villain series.
That makes Sony increasingly ambitious, wanting to similarly build a media universe across channels including movies and TV shows like ‘Silk’. One of Sony’s more intriguing projects is the movie Kraven the Hunter, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven. But who is it, and what role will he play in this Sony Universe?
