Description

  • maron & louie - the best comedy has to offer

    first it was “louie,” the fictionalized (and often surrealistic) life of comedian louis c.k. on fx. now it’s “maron” on ifc. as marc like to say, he’s “not for everybody” and “an acquired taste,” but he fits mine just fine. the show is a hilarious amplification of his exploration of his own angst, anger issues and neurosis while trying to right his career through a successful podcast he does from his garage. in season 2 i highly recommend the “therapy” episode, one of the funniest on damaged relationships and therapists i’ve ever seen. in this season, both “the request” and “ex-pod” show the height of his awkward comedy style and the depth of his pathos in paying penance for past mistakes. marc is one of the great voices for the rest of us.
