Flat characters, flat dialogue, cliche. On my 4th attempt to make it through the pilot, I’ll try more whiskey. ‘You’re not flying solo anymore’ --really?

I’ve read all of Littell’s books. Was excited to see that one of his excellent ones, Legends,, was being adapted as a TV mini-series. Well, was I ever disappointed. Watched three of them and couldn’t take it any longer, even though I had paid for the whole season. Merely using Littell’s title and a narrative only vaguely resembles the novel. Screenplay is pablum, and the production is right out of CSI - on steroids. Absolutely nothing like the novel. This is a train wreck.

started off well but the middle of the season was a little more boring. the ending, though, i thought was done very well and all the pieces of the puzzle came together to a very climactic finish. the cliffhanger was a good way to make viewers want a second season. sean bean is amazing though, by far my favorite actor. he was especially good when he acted as the mentally incapable lincoln dittman. i think most people looking for a show with action but something that makes you give your full attention to understand it will really like Legends.

I'm up to episode 6. I really loved the first couple episodes, then it wasn't as good. I still really like this show, but I just hope it picks back up and is a fun ride.

as good as he was in Cornwell's "Sharpe" series, he's much better in this series. this show is well written (not predictable) and the action as well as the acting is thoroughly convincing. it is very contemporary and each episode builds while a second underlying story unfolds...kind of like NBC's "BlackList". in short, this is time well spent.

Sean Bean is great. Really fun to see him doing characters, but the show got dark in episode 3. Won’t be watching the rest. Too much darkness, Not enough fun.

This show is about 60% overlay from the drama 24 on FOX. Thankfully the endless “Jack is an enemy of the US then on the next episode Jack is friendly to the US" style of 24 is not there, but Sean Bean’s character is ready to shoot someone in the thigh if required. All in all this is a bore fest with poorly executed scenes. A complete waste of Sean Bean. At one point a character asked “he’s American. Where is the British accent coming from? Is that part of his “legend”? Good grief. The sooner Sean gets back to feature films, the better. Maybe "Eddard Stark - the Early Years" - easy money for HBO..
