Food Network Star, Season 10

This season looks like it won't disappoint. Some interesting cheftestants. I just wish you could carry more of the older seasons.

This is more a review of the state of Food Network inasmuch as it is the show itself. Food Network has strayed further and further away from the cooking shows that made it such a hit and has gone for the lowest common denominator and is nothing more than competition shows such as Food Network Star. What does FNS teach me about cooking a fillet mignon? What does FNS teach me about the cullinary industry in general? Nothing or VERY little. Sadly they had to, much like with MTV, create and entirely NEW station in Cooking Channel to show the shows it should be showing on Food Network. If I want to see competition shows such as Food Network Star I’ll go to the countless other television stations on the tv these days. Sadly, if I want cooking shows, I’ll go elsewhere other than Food Network.
