Description

Splash into the sequel of H2O: Just Add Water with Mako Mermaids – An H2O Adventure Season 1. Real-life mermaids Sirena, Nixie and Lyla are part of a mermaid pod, living in the waters off Mako Island. Their job is to protect the Moon Pool and guard it from trespassers, but on the night of a full moon, the mischievous mermaid girls neglect their duties. Suddenly sixteen-year-old land-dweller Zac enters the Moon Pool and is given a fish-like tail and amazing powers. The girls must venture onto land and take back Zac‘s powers - or risk being cast out forever!

After Jonathan M. Shiff closed the H2O: Just Add Water series, I seriously didn’t think he’d be able to top it. And while I do admit that, as a die-hard fan of its predecessor, I didn’t really get that much into it at first, I had fallen in love with the magic, and the charming mermaids and mermen. If you want to watch a light-hearted fantasy series, this is the show for you!

This show is awesome. Season 2 starts filming in the later half of 2014. It's a really good show, and if you like the first series of H2O: Just Add Water, you will like this. There are some key links from the first series to the second! Zac's girlfriend Evie (or just the actress, as she makes a cameo) appears in the Season 3 Episode 20 of H2O, as she gets fired by Sophie at Rikki's Cafe. The stones from the Moon Pool in Season 3 are connected to the Moon Rings in this series. Also, Lucy Fry (Lyla) has her named mentioned in the last episode of H2O when the girls are receiving their diplomas for graduating high school (the principal calls out "Lucy Fry"). So yes, a lot of connections from the first series to the second!
