Description

Created, written by and starring Scott Aukerman (co-creator/director/producer, Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis; writer/performer, Mr. Show) and based on Scott's popular podcast of the same name, Comedy Bang! Bang! infuses celebrity appearances and comedy sketches with a tinge of the surreal. In each episode, Aukerman engages his guests with unfiltered and improvisational lines of questioning, punctuated by banter and beats provided by his bandleader, one-man musical mastermind Reggie Watts (Conan). Packed with character cameos, filmic shorts, sketches and games set amongst an off-beat world, Comedy Bang! Bang! delivers thirty minutes of absurd laugh-loaded fun. The series features some of the biggest names in comedy, including Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Tenacious D (Jack Black & Kyle Gass) and "Weird Al" Yankovic. Other guests include Will Arnett (Up All Night), David Cross (Arrested Development), Will Forte (SNL), Topher Grace (Valentine's Day, Spiderman 3), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Nick Kroll (The League), Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!), Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad), Chris Parnell (Archer), Paul F. Tompkins (Mr. Show with Bob and David) and so many more.

Huge fan of the podcast. The show delivers a thankfully similar experience without relying on recycling proven bits from the audio version. It's altogether strange, mocks convention, is fast-paced, consistently ridiculous, and all-the-while smart...My quality of life is greater thanks to Comedy Bing Bong. Signed on for 20 more episodes. Thank you, IFC THANK YOU SCOTT AUKERMAN. (Season 2 hopes - more James Adomian.)

Watching this was a complete waste of my life. It is by far the worst show I have ever seen. Absolutely horrible....

I loved watching it and then big stupid Dish Network took away my IFC. I missed Comedy Bang Bang too much and therefore I've bought my first ever iTunes season pass.

Great, great show. Fast paced, while still being hillarious and inventive. Amazing guests and some really big surprise guest cameos.

This is one of those rare gems that exists entirely outside of the spectrum of main stream comedy/television. It's truly an amazing show and my hat is off to Scott Aukerman ( and all the incredible writers/staff who work with him ) for successfully creating a venue (both here and in the Ear Wolf network) that allows so many incredible actors and comedians to express the more outlandish/nuanced (perhaps 'less mainstream' is a better way to put it) aspects of their personalities/acts. I love this stuff, and if you let go and give it half a chance, you will too.

Hands down one of the best comedy shows I've seen. I've been following Comedy Bang Bang since the very first podcast and even before the podcast at the live shows in LA at UCB. It's awesome to see someone like Scott Aukerman get some much deserved recognition and get his own TV show. I just hope the world's smart enough to keep it on the air and let him continue making it until he decides to stop. Either way, I'm just glad that I get to be around to experience it's existence.
