Description

The Good Wife is a drama starring Julianna Margulies as a wife and mother who boldly re-enters the workforce after her husband's very public sex and political corruption scandal lands him in jail. Alicia Florrick starts over by pursuing her original career as a defense attorney. As a junior associate at a prestigious Chicago law firm, she joins her longtime friend, former law school classmate, and firm partner Will Gardner, who is interested in rekindling their former relationship. Alicia finds an ally and a friend in Kalinda, the firm's tough and mysterious in-house investigator. Alicia transforms herself from embarrassed politician's scorned wife to resilient career woman.     I am certainly not buying Season 3. It has lost all interest to me. The intelligent, gripping plot of Season 1 has been transformed in t he (very forced and hardly justified, but worse of all very boring) history of Aiice's "liberation". On top of it, Margoulis fared and fit well in "the Good Wife's" character, but she is totally lost as this new more daunting woman. She is just not her and it makes each chapter infuriating. A big disappointment.

    The Good Wife exists between the lines- it doesn't resolve moral issues, it lets them ripen into screenwriting gold. I think it's in the peripheral vision of a lot of tv watchers today- but 9 emmy noms don't lie. WATCH THIS SHOW. It will stagger you.

    The ending of The Sopranos and E.R. marked a dark time for the dramatic genre. The Good Wife has shed light on this category, going so far as to feature E.R. alum Julianna Margulies, who is quite possibly better in this role than her last. This is the kind of television drama that CBS is rightfully known for, and the kind of television drama that people should be watching.

    I love the show. But I find truthisgood's review (27/05) really offensive, or sad in a way...I feel sorry for somebody so ignorant and narrow-minded. There are gays (not enough though) in TV shows because there are gays all around you, probably in your family too.

    Dont let the name of the show fool you... this is the most clever lawyer show ever! Full of drama and excitement , minute by minute an amazing display of talented acting and smart writing. A heart-taking maze with clever turns in every single episode, this is a show that will be a classic in no time!!

    'The Good Wife' is everything you want and need in a TV show... the flawless writing, acting, directing, editing... everything is just top notch. The cast is probably the most perfect cast there is and every single episode is so greatly written they will have you at the edge of your seat every week. There has never been a show that's ruled my life as much as this one. I do warn you: IT IS ADDICTIVE.
