Description

Earlier this year, VH1 struck a blow for frustrated girlfriends everywhere by taking nine of America’s most arrogant, dishonest, selfish, and unfaithful boyfriends and enrolling them in The Tool Academy! A 30-day program designed to transform the worst boyfriend into a knight in shining armor. Now, a new class of Tools is about to arrive, all nominated by their long-suffering girlfriends who are praying their men can stay long enough to abandon their toolish ways. It won’t be easy. These are the men who parade through dance clubs, preening and posing while they bestow a great gift on womankind . . . themselves. They live in their own little world where your spray-on tan defines you, muscles are the new black, and no woman, especially your girlfriend’s best friend, is off limits. They lie, they cheat, they treat their women like door mats. They are, well . . . Tools. But, these Tools are in for a huge wakeup call.

This is hands down the greatest television program for its genre. Ok, it's "trash TV," but I've never been so entertained by it. I feel like a little kid watching Jerry Springer back in the day, only this is like Springer on steroids. I honestly don't know for sure if it's scripted or not, but as my friend described, "If it's fake...it's fabulously fake." It's a shame that we don't have another Matsuflex (the most dynamic and incredible character from the first season), but it's still early in second season and I'm sure the characters will develop in a pragmatic manner. The only that is disturbing about this show is that I actually know guys who are like the people on the show...and even more disturbing is that I know girls who put up with that kind of behavior. Hopefully, Tool Academy 2 will continue to expose the weak as they hide behind their larger than life egos, and together as audience, we can laugh at their demise.
