After saving her family campground from being sold at auction and finally confessing her love to Cal Jones, Maggie Sullivan leaves her career as a neurosurgeon and moves to Sullivan’s Crossing, where she arrives to find everyone forging new paths. Having escaped from the diner fire unharmed, Sully strikes up an unlikely friendship with Helen Culver, a bestselling author who’s come to stay at the Crossing. Cal, who is now volunteering with the Search and Rescue team, leads some high-stakes rescues that ultimately will test his confidence.
