Binge-watched the first three episodes and could hardly wait to watch the fourth!! What a compelling story told with so much research background. The actual taped conversations between Walter (D.B. Cooper) and his long-time friend Carl were fascinating to hear. Going to watch again soon!
Fascinating Bio of D.B. Cooper!

This documentary convinced me that Walt Reca WAS definitely D.B. Cooper. The evidence seems overwhelming, especially the interviews with many people who knew him when he was alive and with Joe Koenig, the fraud investigator. Despite his humble, self-deprecating tone in the audiotapes when talking about the hijacking, he obviously had nerves of steel. Otherwise, he couldn't have gone on to work for various governments as an assassin. Yet this film gives a well-rounded picture of him as a generous man who always took care of friends and family, was a patriot, and had charisma and magnetism to spare (especially with women). Back in the 1930s, after his father was accidentally killed, it left him, his mother and sister so poverty-stricken that it changed him forever, making him desperate to avoid being poor again. It was a time with no social safety net: no welfare, food stamps, or CHIP. When you were poor, you starved. If anything, this documentary will make D.B. Cooper/Walt Reca more of a folk hero than he was before. I loved the music soundtrack, too.

I could not take my eyes off the screen. Its hard not to take a side he obviously did very bad things yet you wanted to almost cheer him on how is that? because its a great story. I hope to see more of this. I see it says season one does that mean there more to come?
I'm Convinced, Walter Reca is DB Cooper

This is unlike any of the other DB Cooper films or documentaries out there. We get to know who he was, what he did prior to and after the hijacking, and chillingly through his own admission via audiotape recordings, Walter Reca describes how he did the hijacking, his experience when he landed, what he did with the money and how he lived the rest of his life. What is so compelling beside the audiotapes, which themselves are convincing, is his deep lifelong friendship with Carl Laurin. Through there interaction we get to know each of them and, interestingly, like them as people. This documentary, in four parts, is very authentic due to the insistance of the director, Dirk Wierenga, of capturing all the interviewees as they are, unvarnished, not overly made up, but as who they are. Even if you aren't into this case, the film is stunningly good--like how documentaries should be, not the overly homogenized films so many networks are now producing. It is more like what Error Morris would do if he was directing. Wonderful film. Watch it over and over to get all the details.

This documentary is very convincing. I read the book and it was excellent, but the documentary really nails it down. If you are not a believer after you read the book you will be a believer after you see the documentary

This is a sensational truth revealing documentary. Clear, convincing, fact based data, eye witness testimony, and Walter Reca's admission that he is D.B. Cooper are fully explored and presented. The story telling is fantastic, thoughtful, revealing, emotional, and surprising. We learn that he was later forced into being a covert operative for America. This documentary is the definitive truth on one of America's biggest mysteries, with a lot more to tell. I highly recommend it.

Beyond a Doubt - GREAT!

The evidence is overwhelming, Walter Reca IS D.B. Cooper. Man alive, how great to finally know what happened and how. You have to watch to see but you WILL believe. However, my 5-star rating is because the story is told in such a wonderful way. I think everyone will tear up at the end of the documentary part 4. Walter was just as much a caring, loving human as he was a criminal. And boy, the life he then lead after the skyjacking...the skyjacking was just the beginning of his adventures - I cannot wait to see the rest of his life story.
Must watch!!

This is a fantastic, binge-worthy documentary that delivers suspense, intrigue, & entertainment. The long awaited answer to the question, “Who is D.B. Cooper?” is revealed, but even more fascinating is the life that Cooper led after the jump. You will not be disappointed!
Amazing and unvarnished truth about D.B. Cooper

How do you begin to like a skyjacker? A bank robber? A restaurant robber? A killer of government enemies? Quite easily, as it turns out. D.B. Cooper aka Walter Reca could have been the privileged son of a doctor. Instead, he lost his father at age 6, and his life was never the same.
This documentary left me spellbound, as I learned how Walter Reca served in the military, cared about his family, and deeply appreciated his life-long friendships, including one of his closest friends, Carl Laurin. And all the while, Walter took crazy chances parachuting, acted impetuously (including the skyjacking, as you hear him describe the details in his own tape recorded voice), and became an operative against his own will, but did it well to serve his country.
You can’t help but shake your head and laugh out loud at his sense of humor, even though he, as D.B. Cooper, broke the law. The themes of family and friendship overpower the poor choices he made during his life. And in Episode 4, Carl Laurin says it best, but you’ll have to hear it for yourself.
