A series of scenes, which can be entertaining, but together they don't add up to anything. This film is less than the sum of its parts. The plot, such as it is: attractive wealthy woman is mildly inconvenienced sometimes. There's hardly any drama, because nothing ever goes terribly wrong. Even DeVito's character seems to just shrug off a major tragedy in the beginning and never speaks of it again.
  • Funny, but not hilarious.

Cute, but the humor is balanced by sadness. Probably not Holly Hunter's or Danny De Vito's best work.
  • Extremely funny

What can i say? This movie is funny and smart. Great performances from Holly Hunter and Danny Devito, especially Devito. I have never seen Danny Devito in a role that is powerful and great. One word: WOW.
