Description

When Walter Davis (Bruce Willis, The Sixth Sense) is set up with gorgeous Nadia Gates (Kim Basinger, No Mercy), the perfect Blind Date dissolves into disaster in this sexy comedy caper. Walter invites beautiful southern belle Nadia to a button-down corporate dinner, expecting to impress his associates with this dazzling beauty. But all hell breaks loose when Nadia has "one too many" and reduces the evening and Walter's career to shambles. Bad turns to worse when Nadia's insanely jealous ex-beau David (John Larroquette, TV's "Night Court"), discovers them together and decides to annihilate the unsuspecting Walter. Can true love blossom amidst this hilarious havoc? Will Nadia and Walter ever get down to courting each other instead of courting disaster? Find out in the zany Blind Date, where first encounters can lead to close encounters of the worst kind.

I love this movie! So romantic and exciting! If you love romantic comedy, then this movie is for you. It's on Encore Love, and it truly deserves an encore! So since I wanna keep it a surprise, lemme sum it up for you: David and Nadia are dating, and Nadia has an allergy to alcohol. They go to a party, but her crazy ex-boyfriend shows up and a fight breaks out on the dance floor. Meanwhile, they exit the party and end up driving into a bad neighborhood, where people steal some parts from his car. He almost gets mugged by three muggers but one yells, " It's the cops!" And they run away. Then David gets sent to jail. Afterwards, Nadia bails him out with $10,000.00 and her ex defends him in court. Nadia and her ex are soon to be married, but a lot can happen in one day, and you never know who the lucky man is. Sexuality: OK Romance: Perfect Cursing: needs less. WAY less. I like this movie because most of the ones we have today are just bland scenes with no plot. Simply put: This is a Must-see before you die!

It is obvious this could have been a very funny movie. My fav actors did the very best they could. Because of some very positive reviews, I rented the video, settled in with my snacks, popcorn etc, expecting a great evening of entertainment... Talented cast. It had all the ingredients... It is a puzzle to me as to why it overshot the goal and missed! Perhaps each crazy episode went on far too long and jumped the shark? The smile on my face eventually disappeared in boredom while waiting far too long for the final punch line ... Too much of the time I found myself yearning to move on to the next vignette, but no such luck... The scenes just went on and on...into oblivion...throughout. I was glad I decided to rent instead of purchase. I do not have $ to waste these days.

This is extremely funny...I loved this movie when it first came out and have watched it many times....I guess if you don't like it then you don't have a sense of humor at all....lighten up! Can't wait to have it in my library for good.
  • Watch it.... it is pretty good light entertainment!

Funny movie for easy relaxed viewing. I watched it 20 years ago and thought that it was a lovely feel- good, screw-ball comedy. They don't make them like this anymore.
