Description

Batman (Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) must launch a rescue mission when they get a tip that Commodore Schmidlapp (Reginald Denny) is in danger aboard his yacht. But the tip is a set-up by four of the most powerful villains ever, who seek to defeat the dynamic duo once and for all! Armed with a dehydrator that can turn humans into dust, the fearsome foursome intends to take over the world! Can the Caped Crusaders use their high-flying heroism and groovy gadgetry to declaw Catwoman (Lee Meriwether), ice the Penguin (Burgess Meredith), upstage the Joker (Cesar Romero), and stump the Riddler (Frank Gorshin) in time?

I am always partial to the more light hearted and heroic interpretations of super heroes, and Batman '66 is cream of the crop. This movie is like a full color comic book come to life. No Donnie Downer darkness and brooding.

I mean, really? Come on, I know that this was made in the sixties, but did it have to be this bad? This movie has way too many logic problems, such as how do Batman and Robin figure everything out so fast? Why is Commodore Schmidlapp such an idiot? And why is Robin running around with no pants on? Seriously, how the heck did Rotten Tomatoes rate this 80%? I would rate it 0% if I could.
