Helen, a wealthy heiress to a large company, has recently married Michael, who works at her family's firm. Helen asks him if he is ready for a baby which he resists and suggests they rent out their cottage house instead. She rents to Derrick, a businessman. She begins an affair with him and her life spirals out of control in a very unexpected way.
