  • Forky was amazing, the rest was not

I enjoyed Forky a whole lot (Tony Hale is an amazing actor!), but I did not appreciate the ending. Woody should have stayed with Bonnie, he’s too loyal. Also, Buzz was not utilized enough in this movie. Bad he was completely declawed in his “inner voice” thing. Buzz has always been confident in himself, so him needing to listen to his inner voice was just as out of character as woody leaving. Overall their friendship was not utilized in this story, a shame seeing this franchise stars them. I wish we could’ve focused on the characters we love, like Jessie and Rex and the gang, instead of having to go off with Ducky/Bunny, Giggle McDimples, and Bo Peep 2.0. One new character (Forky) is fine, but having about 8 new characters who we have not followed for 3 movies take charge was not fun, and Woody joining them left me unsatisfied. Besides, it’s always the one specific toy that you own that makes a difference in your life; not a toy you play with once while visiting a playground. So Woody leaving Bonnie and the gang to be a lost toy did not move me in a way it should’ve. Also, gabby gets a voice box and then everything’s okay for her and a child plays for her. The right message would’ve been if a child found her and lived her despite her flaws. This tells kids that they need to be perfect to be loved, which is a horrible message. And one final note, the ventriloquist dummies were way too creepy to be in a kid’s show. Especially one that’s rated G. Overall, this movie was not a favorite for me. There were too many out of character and character underutilization for me to enjoy it. In my mind, the toy story franchise will always end at toy story 2.

Poorly and I mean POORLY rushed beyond belief. Tim Allen deserved so much better, this is a horrible cash grab. They should’ve kept it at 3

This is the best Disney sequence I ever watch! I can’t wait for next one. It was amazing to see Woody and Bo peep back together. Jessica is next cowgirl to take over.
