I really respect the writing and acting of this indie sci-fi. The tension is strong and doesn’t feel claustrophobic. It’s not a big studio movie but definitely worth watching.

I had to apologize to my wife for talking her into watching this with me. I guessed that a movie about one man trapped all alone in space would be somewhat boring, but this went too far beyond that. Mediocre acting, the (only!) character’s myopic fixation on making a phone call, a cramped and unimaginative set, and absolutely NO PAYOFF at the end of your hour-and-half investment makes this one of the worst movies I’ve seen this millennium. Also, be aware that apparently the director’s favorite grandchild made a “dead mannequin” sculpture in first grade art class that has to be included in every other shot. There’s actually quite a lot more to criticize here, but I’ll try to keep this brief and just warn you away from this one at all costs.

A plot all too often told, that desperately fights to entertain, but is mildly, at best. VFX were actually ok. Acting isn't terrible, but the directing was. I felt patronized as an audience and the music theme is a complete ripoff of Man of Steel. Nothing unique here but ho hum.
