Description

Adam Slope is a genetics professor at Andover University. His wife Dawn is a beautiful artist who he loves more than life itself. After she dies in a fire at her glassblowing studio, Adam clones her from a strand of hair that remained on an old hairbrush. But the woman he creates is different than the woman he married. So he tries again. And again, enlisting the help of his lab assistant to recreate Dawn’s seminal life events, all the while being targeted by an insurance investigator who is convinced that Dawn’s death was staged for the money. Adam is desperate to get his wife back exactly the way she was, but there are only so many strands of hair on the brush, and with each attempt his chances of getting her back grow further and further away.

I first saw this movie at the Orlando Film Festival, where it won many awards, including audience favorite, and I could definitely see why. Such a captivating and relatable story, with an incredible cast. I had to buy it on iTunes so that I could watch it over ANDover ;)

Having just heard about this little indie gem I thought I’d see what I thought. Great dark comedy moments, touching, a perfect cast and a really interesting dilemma as the central plot- all about love and I really enjoyed it! Definitely a must see...

I'm not one for sci-fi films usually but this is far from aliens and robots which is what I think of when I hear sci-fi. Its more of a dark romantic comedy with thoughtful writing and a wonderful cast. Andover is a must see movie! The story its touching and endearing and leaves you with that feel good feeling you want to have when you watch a movie. I highly recommend it!!

If you are looking for a story with the true depth of love, take the time to watch this quirky romp into the human condition. Lovely and sweet, it doesn’t hurt that the leads are married in real life, thus all the magnificent chemistry. I have watched this film multiple times, and I will say it will become a classic. Scout Taylor-Compton is adorable as the promising lab student, and the hijinks between her and Jonathon Silverman are just so silly. If you are looking for a dark comedy, I definitely recommend this to you.

Great storytelling, fantasic cast and a fresh look at love, loss and laughs. I wasn't sure this one was going to be for me but, man, was I wrong! I think I may be the only one that went and saw it twice as it was only in a small number of theaters. First I saw it by myself, then had to bring my wife. It's got a bit of dark comedy which is why I thought I wouldn't like it, but I don't know how else you could tell this story and it works in a completly unique way. It will definitly start a conversation between you and whoever you watch it with. Loved it and pre-ordered the second I saw it available!

I was fortunate enough to see a preview of this movie here in Chicago last week. A dark comedy with a great cast and while an idie movie I came away loving the characters and story. Great laughs to be had, take a chance on it.
