Description

After suffering an explosion at the hands of a terrorist bomber he’s been tracking, detective Ben Walls (Clayne Crawford) awakens in a hospital surprisingly uninjured and ready to go back into the field. But at the behest of his Captain (Mykelti Williamson) and the hospital’s few but eerily incongruous patients and staff, Ben is forced to remain inside the building. As Ben navigates the hospital’s alarmingly empty hallways, he soon finds himself hunted by a self-proclaimed avenging angel (Ethan Embry) who may be the terrorist he’s been looking for, and haunted by apparitions whose deadly motives remain a mystery. As Ben’s sense of reality begins to spiral out of control and the demons that surround him close in, he must find a way to both stop the supernatural forces that want him dead and catch the bomber before he strikes again.

This movie did have some unexpected twists. Overall, it is watchable. Though, I would watch this movie as a last resort. In essence this movie seems like one of those religious movies that have been hitting disks as of late. Though this one is horror/thriller... Lots of goofy, bizarre skits in this one.

The movie wasn’t bad, but after reading all the reviews, I thought there was going to be this amazing twist and nothing was going to be predictable. The plot lacked congruency. I’m not sure what the writers were trying to communicate. Interesting, but not as surprising or “twisty” as I was hoping for. Overall, it’s worth the $4 rental.
  • Boring!

The movie starts off O.K., but then as it progresses, it becomes increasing illogical, bizarre, and, boring. The ending is incoherent and muddled. This movie should be reclassified as a "B" grade horror movie instead of being designated as a "thriller." Recommendation: Don't waste your time and money. And, don't believe the 5-star hype.

I confess to bias as I’m in the film, but I’ve been privileged to work in some amazing movies and this one kept me guessing. Twists and turns. Great film that explores a big concept in a relatable way.

I was fortunate enough to catch an early screener of the film. I knew nothing of the film aside from what the trailer shows, so I went in knowing nothing. I was beyond surprised at the film. Great story, great acting. A huge twist that I never saw coming. The film is one that you should give it a chance, you will be glad you did.

Great film, excellent twists, and a fun ride with rewatchability. The epitome of sleeper/cult classic worthy.

I was able to see Convergence at an advanced screening and wasn't sure what to expect as I'm not typically a fan of thrillers, but I left the screening wanting to see it again because I loved it so much. The story was well written and thought provoking with amazing, unexpected twists. I appreciated the subtle symbolism used throughout the movie. The actors' performances were amazing, and the musical score fantastically tied the movie together. I can't wait to see Convergence again!
