Description

The hunted becomes the hunter in FINAL GIRL - an "intriguing thriller" with "striking visuals" (Variety). Every night, four boys trick a young, blonde girl into meeting them in the forest for a date with the intention to hunt and kill her. One night, Veronica (Abigail Breslin - "Zombieland", "Little Miss Sunshine", "Ender's Game", "Maggie") is selected and when the hunt begins, the boys soon realize that they messed with the wrong girl. Also starring Alexander Ludwig ("The Hunger Games", "Lone Survivor") and Wes Bentley ("The Hunger Games", "American Beauty", "Interstellar"). FINAL GIRL is "stunning" (Influx Magazine) and "one entertaining thriller worth watching" (The-Other-View.com).

I mean, it's not the best movie I've ever seen in my life, but it does well by its premise, and it kept me engaged. (Star Wars Rogue One didn't manage that, and critics inexplicably loved it.) I found this very entertaining, and I enjoyed the character-focused storytelling. I don't think most movies of its genre make as much of a point of making every character distinct. Honestly, this film impressed me.

I honestly really liked this movie. Usually I always fast forward or skip parts in a movie because I enjoy so few movies, but this movie was probably one of the first ones that I actually didn't skip through. I know that there isn't a back story or that much information on the characters, but in my opinion the characters were interesting to watch. They are supposed to behave weird since they are mentally ill. Of course there are going to be some awkward moments. This is my first review I have ever written and I chose to do this because in my opinion the movie was entertaining and very good.

I have to say that the dialogue wasn't the best. However, the director (Tyler Shields) had never directed before, and only did photography, so that is to be expected. For his first movie, I'd have to say that I really liked it. The camera shots and general atmosphere made the movie enjoyable, as I had never seen vintage-looking scenes like that in any other movie. Tyler did a good job of pulling things from photos to an on-screen thriller. In fact, it was only after the movie that I decided to look at his photos. To me, this is either a hit or miss for most. Watch a few clips online or something and watch online reviews before buying.

Poorly written, acted, over-the-top attempt at cool and stylish. Utter waste of film.

Best movie ever. BEST MOVIE EVER!!! Better than Kubrick/Scorcese/Spielburg. Their movies are punk to this. This movie is the bellwether all works of art will be compared to. Sublime and emotionally rich-like my grandmother’s stew. (If my grandmother had been raped hunted like a bunny) I laughed till it hurt and stained the carpet with my tears. Monumental acting and genius direction. Rent it then die content.

As soon as I saw the trailer it looked like it was going to be an interesting and bada** movie. I should’ve read the review before renting. The movie was trying way too hard to be artsy and meaningful along with cool, etc - it was doing too much and was going nowhere. The one thing I hated was the lighting in the movie, I’m guessing in the forest it was suppose to be the moonlight …. but the moon is never that dang bright!
