Description

In the far northern reaches of the planet a rare breed of extreme Fishermen still ply the Bering Sea. Adventure is their call, crab is their prey, and a one hundred million dollar plunder is their reward. Five skippers and their crews will endure boat killing storms and mind numbing working conditions — risking it all on the hunt for crab. In the end, they will all come to the realization that the most violent storms come from within. This season, there's a fracture in the Bering Sea brotherhood. Old allies become mortal enemies when fishing turns personal. While some skippers rage against each other — another skipper fights a lone battle to stay alive. The Bering Sea has a way of turning young boys into hardened men and before this season is through, terrible tragedy will alter two young lives forever.

    i love phil. he was alway me favorite captin out of all of the ships. when i head that he had died. i cryed, the show made me feel he was my dad. he WILL be missed on the next season i love you phil harris!!

    I grew up commercial fishing. I fished dungeness crab, herring, salmon, albacore and halibut. This show really captures what fishing is. The natural beauty, the drama, the rewards. These guys are the best of the best in the world of commercial fishing (Highliners). I was determined to go to Alaska from Bodega Bay, CA when I got out of high school, only to be talked out of it by my father ( a big time fisherman in his own right ). The money was great, but the danger was greater. If you want to see the worlds most dangerous profession, and brilliant production( the best TV has to offer) in a no holds barred assault of the senses, this show is for you! RIP Phil.     Captain Phil you will be missed. I found out about you when I got out of the hospital myself having a mechanical valve put into my heart. I died twice on the table and almost in the I.C.U. I would have left behind three daughters and fifteen grandchildren. The good Lord will watch over your two sons as will America. I would have gladly changed places with you if I could have but it is not up to us but the good lord when and where we go. I will always say a prayer for you and your family as we both valued our families more over everything else. God bless you Captain Phil and I hope to meet you in person when I arrive in heaven.

    I have always liked deadliest catch, but this season I have really noticed how overproduced it has become. Which for me really takes away the raw feel that the show had before which i believe quite suited it. But, its just how things work even if something is sucessful people feel the need to keep changing it until it is no longer what it origionally was.

    I hate reality T.V but The Deadliest Catch is AWESOME!!!! I am so glad my husband made me watch it, I was hooked from the get go! Capts. Phil, Sig and Johnathan are my fave's, And losing Capt. Phil this season was heartbreaking, he will be sorely missed, but watching Josh step up to bat and take charge, Phil would be so proud, and watching Phil's final day's with Josh and Jake was heartwrenching and touching! Phil can rest in peace knowing that Josh and Jake will carry on the Harris family tradtion and that Capts. Sig and Johnathan will be watching over them and helping out when need be!!!!
