Description

"What would you say if I shaved my moustache off?" Marc asks Agnès. "I don't know. I love you with it but I've never known you without it." She goes out for a while, leaving him in front of the bathroom mirror. And he does it. Just like that. As a game. Just to see the look on her face. Just to change something in their happy uneventful lives. When she comes back, she does not say anything.

Not bad of a film, yet had some parts that made you think "what is going on?" However, I get the directors idea and frame of mine of where he is going throughout the film. A man hasn't just lost his mustache, but when he shaves it, he has shaven his identity of who he actually is as a man. He begins to question what is his life's meaning, what he wants, and what he fears of losing. Some parts I had some difficulty with where the story line was going, but reflecting afterwards, I got a clearer understanding of what the main theme/point of what it was attempting to tell the audience.
