Babylon 5: The Lost Tales

Great movie. This is for all Babylon5 and StarGate fans, for those who noticed both shows went religious. Buy God Stopping A Nuclear War from Ibooks, in there is a website link which inspired both shows going religious. It will blow your mind.

I really liked the old babylon 5 show, but this movie was a far cry off. It is definitely not worth the purchase price of 15 bucks and I almost regret spending the 3 bucks to rent. I will admit the cgi was nice, but the story lacked depth, and almost seemed cheesy. If this is the best that you can come up with B5 might as well stay dead.

I loved the themes and character work in this film -- very well written and totally worth the rental!

This movie is not what the trailer shows it has only 2 actors from the series and not the cast that the show origanly had, its a BAD purcahse the trailer is misleading and is not worth the $14.99 you pay for it, its not even worth the rental fee. Anyone who buys this is in for a major let down and should get their money back!

It's nice to revisit the B5 series and see what can be done with current cg. It looks like it was shot in a blue screen garage. The story was just, eh. Interesting but not worth a second view. No more then 4 actors were ever on screen at one time. No depth to it. Tried to be epic. Liked the message it was saying at the end, alot!

This is not worth the bandwith to download it. Very very bad.

This movie does no justice to the series. It should have been just another episode of a season and even then it lacked the content that truly drew me into the series. Overall the entire movie gave me more of a sense of being incomplete than any sort of addition to the series. The movie itself is split into sections. The first was more of a religious explanation that did not fit with everything that had happened during the course of the season. The second, and I believe third parts, were effectively just commentary. I was satisfied with the ending of season 5 of the series, but this was more like watching horrible fanfic by a horrible writer that had no clue as to the original story line and just picked at the bits and pieces of the entire run of the show. I would not recommend buying this. Borrow it from a friend if they have it or rent it if you have a few bucks to spare, but don't buy it.

I am a huge fan of Babylon 5. It focused on the story line rather than the newest warp drive or invention. But this movie is a far cry from the series. There are 2 semi-interconnecting episodes in this movie. Each episode essentially has only 3 actors in it set against various CGI backgrounds. They are more psychological thrillers than anything, and somewhat lacking on the thriller side. I think J. Michael Straczynski is a genius, but it could have been a lot better. We need a Babylon 5 movie, not a featurette.

Not much action in this, but Bab5 was never about the action for me, it was about Straczynski's vision and philosophy behind the series. If that's your taste too, you'll like this, especially the first story with Tracy Scoggins. It gets right into the whole good/evil debate and has a great ending. The second story is OK, but it was better to see Bruce Boxleitner again!

I enjoyed the original series and expected to see a new movie based on that. Instead, this is more like two short stories without endings. There was very little action in the story and I sat waiting for the story to take off, but it never did. This is more like a bad made for television series and not worth the money.
