Description

Jim Carrey is Chip Douglas, cable installer. Raised on television sitcoms, he wants life to look just like My Three Sons. And when he meets single guy Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick), he sees his chance for some serious male bonding. But Chip's idea of friendship - which includes physical assault, a game of 'Porno Password' and a medieval joust - may be hazardous to Steven's health. In Chip's own immortal words, "I can be your best friend... or your worst enemy." Directed by Ben Stiller (Reality Bites).

Have you ever made friends with another man...and you just couldn't tell if he was special, lonely, eccentric, wanted to be your brother, wanted to become you, wanted to be with your girlfriend, was secretly in love with you, or if he simply wanted to murder you in your sleep? Maybe he just wanted to be your absolute best friend...your only friend...forever.

Fantastic! Ben Stiller directs Jim Carrey in one of his best performances. Even a typically dreadful Matthew Broderick holds his own.

One of the last movies Jim Carey made that contained his one of a kind sense of humor.

The Cable Guy wan't Jim Carrey's worst film, nor his darkest. I think this was Carrey at his very best. It was, after all, Ben Stiller's first comedy and Judd Apatow's first recognition in the mainstream. I really liked this movie. Classic Jim Carrey material throughout.

This is an outstanding movie, a little dark, but hilarious. Classic Jim Carrey. You might have to see it a few times to appreciate it, but this is a great movie. Jim is the best!

This movie is supposed to be a dark comedy much the same as Observe and Report, and Burn After Reading, it has funny parts, but it is not funny through out. People go into this movie expecting the typical Jim Carry, wacky off the wall slapstick. But this movie is different. It starts off with a few laughs here and there , but as the movie progresses it turns less into what funny thing is Carry going to do next, into how Carry's character is not well both socially and mentally.
